Unity Hills Arts Centers International is bringing a chamber ensemble of remarkably talented musicians to perform a series of informal benefit concerts. The performances will include works by Mozart, Bach, Dohnányi, Milhaud, Halverson and more. Thursday June 27 at 7 PM in the Townshend Town Hall, to benefit the West Townshend Country Store restoration project. Friday, June 28 a 7 PM in the Athens Brick Meeting House. The proceeds from this event will assist the Athens Historic Preservation Society in efforts to restore this fascinating historic building. U-HAC was founded by Joseph Swenson and Victoria Eisen. Joseph is a virtuoso violinist and prominent conductor, presently serving as Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris and is Conductor Emeritus of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Eisen has held the position of principal French hornist with the Stamford Symphony and Chamber Orchestra of New York. She has recorded with Deutsch Grammaphone and Sony Classical. Joining Joseph and Victoria are David Southorn (violin) and Andy Lin (viola). Both are members of the critically acclaimed Amphion String Quartet, which was recently selected for residency in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two and is the Quartet-in-Residence at Caramoor. Rounding out the ensemble that will appear in Weston are cellist Alice Yoo and pianist Gabriele Castelli.
